Promotion: Family Care Leave May Be Taken by the "Hour"

According to the Ministry of Labor's interpretation of Article 20, Paragraph 1 of the "Act of Gender Equality in Employment," effective January 1, 2026:

1.To allow flexibility for diverse family care needs (e.g., temporary illness of young children), employees may request Family Care Leave by the "hour" if they need to personally care for family members. Employers may not refuse this request.
2.If calculated by the hour, the "7-day" limit per year is calculated as 8 hours × 7 days = 56 hours. Once an employee chooses to calculate leave by the "hour," they may not change the calculation method.
