Labor Insurance Matters for Part-Time Faculty in the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2025
To process Labor Insurance, Occupational Accident Insurance, Employment Insurance, National Health Insurance, and Labor Pension contributions for part-time faculty for the 2nd semester of AY 2025, departments/institutes/centers are requested to submit relevant forms to the Personnel Office by Friday, January 9, 2026.
1.Coverage: Part-time faculty must be insured and pension contributions made during their employment period in accordance with regulations, avoiding duplicate coverage.
2.Enrollment/Withdrawal: Units must submit applications for enrollment or withdrawal before the start or end date of the employment period. Units are responsible for any extra premiums or liabilities arising from failure to process these on time. (Reminder: For part-time faculty insured in the 1st semester of AY 2025 who are not re-hired for the 2nd semester, submit a withdrawal form by the last day of employment, January 31, 2026.)
3.Summer/Winter Breaks: If the employment period spans summer or winter breaks, to ensure accurate payroll and premium processing, Labor Insurance, Health Insurance, and Pension fees for these periods should be processed during the payroll runs in March (for Feb-Mar premiums), June (for Jun-Jul), September (for Aug-Sep), and December (for Dec-Jan).
